ANDY Graham handed Glenavon the early advantage with the opening goal on the 7th minute with a 12-yard finish after a Ryan Harpur pass was dummied into his path by Diarmuid O'Carroll.

Coleraine might have levelled on 19 minutes through Johnny Black only for his free-kick from the right side of the box to be touched onto the bar by Davy O'Hare.

Glenavon were reduced to ten men three minutes into first-half stoppage time when Harpur was sent-off by referee Alan Black for a foul on Black, his second booking in just 15 minutes.

Shane Jennings came close to grabbing an equaliser for the visitors on 54 minutes with a turn and shot but O'Hare did well to save.

O'Carroll then almost doubled Glenavon's advantage nine minutes later with an overhead kick while, at the other end, Leon Knight was thwarted by a goalline clearance.
