THE Reds moved in front as early as the 40th second after a Rory Donnelly effort took a deflection on its way past Niall Morgan.
Donnelly struck again on 17 minutes with a back post tap in from namesake Martin's cross before grabbing his hat-trick just sixty seconds later after getting a touch to divert the ball beyond Morgan.
The rampant Reds might have extended their lead with both Donnelly's coming close, as did Ciaran Caldwell, while Barry Holland was denied on a further three occasions.
Chris Scannell almost added a fourth for Cliftonville on the hour but Morgan thwarted his effort with an outstretched leg.
But number four did arrive nine minutes from the break courtesy of a 20-yard Joe Gormley finish as the Reds broke forward.
Michael Funston did grab a late consolation for the Swifts, though, with a header from a corner.
