CRUSADERS missed out on the chance to move back to fourth place with this draw at Donegal Celtic.

In a game played in difficult conditions it was perhaps unsurprising that scoring opportunities were at a premium.

Perhaps the best effort of a lacklustre and scoreless first-half was a deflected 37th minute Ryan McCann free-kick which produced a superb reaction save from Hoops 'keeper Robert Robinson.

Chances were equally as scarce for large periods of the second half until the 68th minute when the deadlock was finally broken.

Jordan Owens grabbed what the Crues hoped would have been the match winner when he got on the end of a long Gareth McKeown throw-in to nod the ball beyond Robinson.

However, Celtic levelled with six minutes left through a Johnny Harkness finish after a Kevin Keegan set piece had been knocked on.

Colin Coates might have secured victory for the Crues in the final minute but could only direct his header onto the woodwork.
