ARDS made light work of Warrenpoint Town, beating them 5-1 at Dixon Park.

Ards opened the scoring on the third minute when Warrenpoint centre back Luke Ebron, headed a Mark Picking free-kick into his own net.

Warrenpoint equalised on the seventh minute when Damien McParland headed home a corner kick.

Ards got back into the lead on the half hour mark when Aaron McKee and Adam Arthurs combined well to put Nathan McConnell through on goal. The big man made no mistake, thumping the ball into the top corner.

Eight minutes later and Adam Arthurs assisted another goal, with Jimmy McIlhagga the beneficiary on this occasion.

The fourth goal game on the 65th minute thanks to some superb work by Aaron McKee, who set crossed for Nathan McConnell to volley home in spectacular fashion.

The final goal of the day came from substitute Stephen Doyle, whose half-volley in the 83rdminute made it 5-1, putting Ards into second place.
