GLEBE claimed their first league victory of the season in this drab game at Tillysburn Park.
With only seven minutes on the clock the visitors opened the scoring when Mark Anderson hit a thirty yard screamer past Dougherty in the Welders goal.
Glebe were enjoying most of the possesion with neither goalkeeper troubled much.
If there were to be any more goals in the game it certainly looked as if they would come from Glebe as the home team just appeared to have run out of any attacking ideas. Turner had a great chance to increase the lead for Glebe but his final shot went wide.
Cahoon for the Welders had a chance to put the scores level just on half time but his header was cleared by a Glebe defender.
The second half saw the same pattern emerging with neither keeper being seriously troubled and most of the play centered in the midfield.
Ryan Brown sent in a great cross in the sixty third minute which Bloomer failed to connect with.
Brown was the only one who looked as if he could get things going and he had a few good runs into the visitors penalty area only to see his final ball cleared each time.
With ten minutes remaining the Welders started to show a little bit of urgency and threatened the Glebe backline but even with the last minute surge they couldn't break down a determined back four.
