Banbridge Town

1 - 1

Warrenpoint Town

TOWN almost took a 14th minute lead but Kingsberry was desperately unlucky to a see his shot rebound off the inside off an upright after a perfect lay-off from Conor Downey.

This stung Warrenpoint into action and in the 18th minute Shaun Parr blasted over.

Barry Tumilty continued from where he had left off last week commanding Town's engine room and providing the ammunition for good running from McArdle, Moffatt and Kingsberry.

On 26 minutes Kingsberry was fouled down the right and when Moffatt fired his free kick across goal central defender Stephen Greene went agonisingly close with his headed effort.

Town 'Keeper Kieran Maguire pulled off the save of the match with a point blank stop from a goal bound McAleenan thunderbolt and on 36 minutes his counterpart Parr stretched to push away a shot from the inrushing Kingsberry.

However four minutes before the interval ex. Town favourite Dee McParland latched on to a loose ball 20 yards from Town's goal and beat the diving Maguire with a terrific swerving left foot drive to put his side 1-0 ahead.

Town came out with all guns blazing in the second half and a great 50 yard run from Kingsberry was thwarted by Parr's feet after 54 minutes.

They were deservedly on level terms minutes later when McArdle sped down the right and found Moffatt with a great pass and "Pixie" greeted his hometown comeback with a superlative finish into the bottom corner.
