Annagh United

JONNY Roy got his first goal in Knockbreda colours in a 3-0 win over Annagh United at Upper Braniel Road on Saturday.

Miguel Chines scored the other two, bringing his tally to six goals in three games.

In an action-packed first half, neither side could break the deadlock after.

Knockbreda had the most clear-cut openings, with some nice play leading to Chines heading over the bar.

James Wright then had another trademark free-kick well saved before Jonny Foster had two attempts blocked by the Annagh defence.

It was Jim McMenimin who came closest though. From a Chines corner McMenimin had his header well cleared off the line.

In the final few minutes of the half, Miguel Chines picked the ball up out right, before cutting in and curling the ball into the top corner from 30-yards.

The lead was doubled early in the second half.

A cross from the right wing was volleyed home at the back post by Jonny Roy, his first goal for the club.

Wright had another free-kick saved before an error in the Annagh defence lead to Chines going through one-on-one and scoring his sixth goal in three games.
