Chimney Corner

IN THE opening half hour a well organized Chimney Corner team contained an experienced Police team ably led by Rory Hamill in midfield.

The game then sprung into life when Hamill struck the Chimney Corner upright only to see the lively Adam Gray surge through the home defence, shake off Scott McCrory and beat Keith Wilson in the home goals with a low ground shot from 10 yards.

With half time approaching Holden put Hamill through for the striker to beat the advancing Rowan from just outside the penalty box and make the game all square at half time.

The second half was totally dominated by the P.S.N.I. who led siege to the Corner goals only to see Rowan and the woodwork thwart them on several occasions.

With time running out it was the man of the match Rory Hamill who squared the ball for Adamczyk to win the game for the Police with a low shot from three yards.
