THE first chance of the game fell to Scott McCordick on 5 mins when from a 25 yard free kick the visiting keeper palmed the ball away from the top corner.
Then on 8 mins Scott McCordick beat 2 men and from a tight angle fired just wide.
On 18 mins the PSNI got in behind the home defence and Wright had to save well.
On 24 mins PSNI had a great chance to take the lead when the ball was cut back from the by-line but Arthur blazed over from 16 yards.
Again on 35mins Andy Wright produced a good save to keep the scores level by tipping a long range Hadden effort over the bar.
On 41 mins another free kick outside the box from Scott McCordick produced a fine save from Wilson and the sides went in level.
As the 2nd half got under way Annagh got more possession and took the lead when Jamie Gardiner got down the left and crossed for Scott McCordick to bundle the ball over via Phil May. PSNI tried to respond, a long range Gibson effort was pushed away by Wright.
Annagh passed the ball well and started to dominate but PSNI still looked dangerous. With about 20 mins to go Alan Murphy came off the bench into centre back.
Soon after Murphy crashed a header from a corner off the underside of the cross bar as Annagh sought to extend their lead.
Then controversy when Scott McCordick skipped into the box, beat 3 men and with only the keeper to beat was clearly hauled down by Greener yet the ref waved play on.
Annagh forced a series of corners and when called upon defended well.
As the 90 minutes approached PSNI skipper McCrory seen red for his second yellow.
In injury time Dean Smith flicked the ball into the path of Jordan Bell who burst into the box gaining a penalty while being pulled back. Skipper Smith converted sending Wilson the wrong way. |
