Larne 1-2 Donegal Celtic
Ladbrokes.com Championship - Saturday, 11th April, 2009
DONEGAL Celtic moved into third spot in the Ladbrokes.com Championship following this narrow defeat of Larne at Inver Park.

Celtic opened the scoring after 27 minutes when Barry Spence knocked home a penalty into the bottom left hand corner after Adam Dick had handled in the area.

However Larne levelled two minutes from the break when Damien McLaughlin got his head to a Noel Corrigan free-kick to beat Declan Brown.

The game swung very much in Celtic's favour just after the hour when first Larne were reduced to ten men on 61 minutes when goalscorer McLaughlin was dismissed after collecting his second booking.

Then, three minutes later, a Liam Bradley cross from the right was cleared as far as Stephen McAlorum who promptly fired past Alex Spackman from 22 yards.
