Tobermore United 4-1 Killyleagh YC
JJB Sports Irish Cup - Saturday, 17th January, 2009
TOBERMORE United overcame the potentially tricky challenge of Killyleagh YC to progress comfortably to the fifth round of the JJB Sports Irish Cup.

Gerald Boyle scored the opening goal of the day on six minutes with a close range finish from an Eddie McIntyre corner.

Gavin Doherty doubled their lead on 23 minutes after meeting a Michael Walsh cross before, ten minutes later, Austin Friel added a third with a superb 40-yard drive over 'keeper Mark Morgan.

The Amateur League side pulled one back on 37 minutes through Dominic McGreevy with a far post tap-in from a Darren McConnell corner.

But any hopes they had of staging a recovery where shattered a minute from the break following Kevin Savage's dismissal for bringing down Friel.

And Doherty made sure for Tobermore on 68 minutes with a 20-yard finish to earn a visit to Ballyskeagh on February 14th.
